iMagine Modules Serving Cross-project Data Improvement

Our partner, VLIZ, was interviewed as part of the Biodiversity Data for Digital Twins of the Ocean (DTO-BioFlow) project, which the institution coordinates.

A nice video interview shows more about the project, and details a strong link with iMagine.

This happens because, in DTO-BioFlow, researchers work on plankton data - amongst other data types. The phytoplankton data originates from the LifeQatch monitoring programme and is processed using pipelines and classifiers built under iMagine to process the images and obtain identifications, which the researchers then check for quality control. The phytoplankton occurrence data is then submitted to EMODnet/EurOBIS to end up in the EDITO data lake.

Watch the interview below - iMagine is featured from 2'15'' and read the article on EuroNews.
